Why Rajini & Kamal don't want to act together?

Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are the two biggest names down South and they are a super-hit pair on screen too. The duo starred in several multi-starrers in the beginning of their careers, but suddenly they decided not to act together despite sharing a great rapport and having a huge success rate. Guess, what might have been the reason?

In his recent interview, Kamal revealed the secret:"Fortunately, we are very stiff competitors but we stayed brothers. We have done 13 films together. Then we realized that the producers are fooling us by splitting up our remuneration whenever we do a muti-starrer and if we go separate, we can each earn the amount they pay the two of us for a film. So, both of us announced that we won't act together again and the plan worked."

Initially, Kollywood producers were scared of the decision taken by the two superstar but everything got settled when they delivered back-to-back as solo leads. Forget about the remuneration, the production cost of Rajini's last outing Robo itself was nearly Rs 150 crores and for Kamal's upcoming film Vishwaroopam it's over Rs 90 crores. While Bollywood stars are aiming to enter Rs 100 crores club after the release, these two South stars are doing the same before the release.
