RGV bluffs IT officials too
Ram Gopal Varma, who is known to hit headlines very often, is at it again. This time, the maverick director is under IT scanner. Income Tax officials have raided Varma's office in Mumbai on Thursday.
IT officials have slowly realized that RGV's name was missing on a list of 132 celebrities who have been issued notices over the past year for the tax evasion and paid a personal visit to the director's office. That's not all. The department found that his production houses like Dream Force Productions and Dream Force Enterprises are not in record. They further found that they're are no production houses with such names registered even in Hyderabad. The officials claim that they're only on paper but not registered in order to avoid tax.
Officials are now set to crack the whip on Varma where he has to pay a penalty. IT sleuths will apparently scrutinize each of the director's projects in order to calculate the amount of service tax and professional tax he has evaded. With this it is once again clear that RGV not only bluffs his audiences, co-filmmakers but also IT officials and Government of India.
