Microsoft Makes Employees Work In Remote Permanently

US media The verge has reported yesterday, Software giant Microsoft company has made a favorable resolution towards its employees it has expanded the option to work in remote permanently due to COVID-19 Pandemic.

The internal memo has focused explicitly on the company’s strategies to create a “hybrid workplace”, Microsoft stated that it has decided to allow its employees to work in remote freely for less than 50% of their routine work in a week, yet the managers have to approve the permanent remote working based on the staff’s request. Part-time work-ability is also open for the employees with the support of the manager’s approval.

As for now, the majority of the company’s employees are working from home, and before Microsoft has said that, they are not going to open their work-spaces, until the end of January 2021.

Whose work can be done in remote, they can apply the option to relocate including Internationally relocate if they were approved.

Those who choose this option may have to give up on their assigned workspace, and as per the report, Microsoft is going to cover the expenses for the permanent remote employees.

US media The verge states that the majority of Microsoft’s 150,000 employees would utilize this advantage as an opportunity to relocate internationally. Nevertheless, any of the roles yet to be required to access the company’s office. Including the employees who need access to hardware labs, Data centers, and personal training etc.

“Since COVID -19 has challenged the human world to think of others to live and work in a safe atmosphere in new trends”, Says Kathleen Hogan, the chief people officer of Microsoft mentioned in a note to the company’s employees. We will offer the flexibility as much possible, as we can support individual working formats while balancing the business needs and also to ensure that we live in our culture”, she added.

Addressing that Microsoft is not only the company to embrace permanent remote working prospect, similarly, Square, Twitter, might announce that staff could work from home, and Facebook prophesies about 50% of its employees ahead will work remotely on a full-time schedule.
