Cyber Towers Car Accident: MLA Says His Son Innocent

The CCTV footage of a spine-chilling road mishap at Cyber Tower junction – where a Mercedes car that jumped the signal and rammed into a bike killing a man (Gautham Dev) and grievously injuring his wife (Swetha) – has gone viral. The car which was recklessly driven was identified and confirmed that the car belongs to the son of YSRCP MLA from AP Katasani Rami Reddy.

While a section of reports involving Katasani Obul Reddy, son of Rami Reddy, came out, Banaganapalle MLA Katasani Rami Reddy was quick to clarify. Rami Reddy admitted that the car belongs to his family. However, he said the car was given for repair a couple of days ago and his son’s friend Kaushik took the delivery of the car from the service center. He said they had expected that the car would be delivered to them by Kasuhik but in vain. He said they learned about the accident and were shocked. He said as per reports, Kaushik along with another friend Kasi Viswanath went to a pub and in return they said to have rammed the car into the victims.

MLA Katasani clarified that his son Obul Reddy was neither behind the wheel nor in the car. Katasaani said the car was driven by Kaushik’s friend Kashi Viswanath at the time of the incident. Katasani said cops had arrested the two those who were responsible. He said he learnt that Kaushik had managed to escape from police and police are looking out for him.

Katasani Rami Reddy said he and his son have no role in the whole issue and clarified that they are ready to cooperate for the police investigation any time. Katasani told that his son Obul Reddy is being dragged into the issue for no reason. He urged the media to take clarification from them before airing a story.

Meanwhile, Katasani Rami Reddy had lost his eldest son Nagarjuna Reddy in 2018 when he had committed suicide. Katasani has 3 sons including Obul Reddy.
