Breather For Real Estate in Telangana!

The long wait is over. After waiting for over two months, finally, realtors in the Telangana state are going to get a major relief. Finally, the state government announced that the registrations for non-agricultural properties would begin from November 23. CM KCR himself corroborated the news today as the cabinet has recently approved the decision. Revealing the news, CM KCR said Chief Secretary CM Somesh Kumar will inaugurate the services on Dharani portal this month.

CM KCR has convened a high-level meeting with Ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy, Puvvada Ajay Kumar, CS Somesh Kumar and other officials to discuss over the implementation of registration of non-agricultural properties through Dharani e-portal. CM KCR opined that this is a revolutionary step in terms of registration of properties and people would be largely benefited. He said common people are feeling secure with the registration of agricultural properties through Dharani.

Meanwhile, CM KCR lauded the efforts of the officials in resolving some technical glitches in Dharani portal. CM KCR opined that Dharani would overcome all the initial glitches in three to four days. Reasoning the delay over the registration of non-agricultural properties through Dharani, CM KCR said that the government had initially wanted to start the registration of non-agricultural properties. However, he said the government waited to clear all the glitches in Dharani before going ahead with the registration of non-agricultural properties.

Registrations in the state were stalled since September 2020 which in turn has affected the transactions and circulation of money among the realty sector. The state government had called holidays for the Stamps & Registration Department and brought some revolutionary reforms and changes such as scrapping the VRO (Village Revenue Officer) system. However, the government has started the registration of agricultural properties and farms since Dussehra. But the non-agricultural properties registration was put on hold. Finally, after a lot of waiting, the government has announced that the registration of non-agricultural properties would begin from Nov 23rd. This is certainly a huge sigh of relief to realtors as well as consumers.
