Director Shankar Clarifies On ‘Non-bailable Warrant’

The news about a non-bailable warrant issued against the Star director Shankar is all over the news now. The news has been circulated that his advocate failed to appear in the hearings for the decade-long case of ‘Enthiran’ movie related. The director himself came out clarifying the news and ruled the non-bailable warrant’ news out as rubbish.

Shankar in his press note said he was shocked to see the false news that a non-bailable warrant has been issued against him by the Honorable Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore. Shankar said his advocate Mr. Sai Kumaran has approached the court today and brought this news to the court’s attention only to learn that no such warrant has been issued. The Judge as well as pleased to immediately confirm the same.

While ruling the news as a mere rumor, Shankar said any reference to the warrant has apparently occurred due to a glitch in the online court reporting, that is presently being corrected.

Shankar appeared upset with the arrest warrant rumors. He also ridiculed the way the ‘false news’ got circulated without any verification, which caused anguish to his family and well-wishers. Shankar pleaded with the media to stop spreading such false news any further.

The rumored news was all about Shankar’s Enthiran movie starring Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai. A story writer Arur Tamilnandan alleged that the plot of the film was copied from his short story Jiguba published in the year 1996.
