Prime Minister Narendra Modi is touring Tamilnadu today to open a series of projects. Since the general election is due this year in the state, Modi is trying to catch the attention of public and shift the vote base to the Bharatiya Janatha Party. Modi also opened a section of the Chennai Metro Rail in Chennai. During his aerial tour, he captured the Chepauk stadium where India is playing against England in the second Test match.
Sharing the aerial view of Chepauk International cricket stadium, Narendra Modi wrote, “Caught a fleeting view of an interesting test match in Chennai.” The picture is currently trending viral on social media.
This is the second test match that is taking place in Chennai. India lost to England in the first test match and pinned big hopes on the second test. Today is the second day of the match and India ended the first innings for 329 runs and restricted England to 134 runs.
With a lead of 232 runs, India started the second innings.
