‘I Thought I Died While Dhooting For Avatar 2’

The iconic film, Titanic actress Kate Winslet, who really imbued the character ‘Rose’ with authenticity , passion and life, shared her frightening experience while shooting a seven-minute underwater sequence for James Cameron’s long-awaited upcoming film, Avatar2.

The Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet has reportedly broken Tom Cruise’s on-film breath-hold record. Earlier, Tom was trained to hold his breath for 6 minutes when he was shooting for action-spy flick, “Mission: Impossible”.

“My first words were: ‘Am I dead?’ Yes, I thought I’d died!” she remembers her first words after coming out of the water, The whole incident has literally scared her to death. “God, it’s just wonderful. Your mind completely drifts off. You can’t think about anything, you can’t make lists in your head, you’re just looking at the bubbles underneath you,” Kate Winslet recalled her underwater experience.

Even her husband Ned Abel Smith trained along with her and she said, “he got quite good at the breath-holding as well. But he did … blackout.” Avatar 2” is scheduled for release in December 2022 and Winslet will play a character called Ronal.“ This American science fiction film is directed by James Cameron and produced by 20th Century Studios. It is the second film in the Avatar franchise, following Avatar (2009).
