‘Pawan, Sharmila Has Similar Agenda’

TRS MLA and minister Gangula Kamalakar said that the immense wealth in Telangana is making late YSR daughter Y.S. Sharmila and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan focus on the state.

He said that the only one state which can generate wealth in entire India is Telangana. Both Sharmila and Pawan Kalyan are trying to enter politics in Telangana only to plunder the assets in the state, he said, adding that TRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao created wealth in the state.

“Sharmila says that she is the daughter-in-law of Telangana but we don’t need her. We already have a father who can take very good care of his children,” said Kamalakar. People in Telangana consider KCR himself as the biggest asset, he added.

On Pawan Kalyan’s plans to expand his Jana Sena in Telangana, Kamalakar said that the Jana Sena chief should first try to win at least from one constituency. “Then he can speak of Telangana. The public is not respecting or paying attention to these people. They do not have any work in Andhra Pradesh but people in Telangana feel that Samaikyandhra leaders do not have any space here.”

People in Telangana had already made it clear that they do not need such leaders but they (Sharmila and Jagan) are showing interest in Telangana only to split the votes. Pawan Kalyan cannot dent the TRS vote bank, the minister said.

“Pawan Kalyan has taken up politics just as a ‘time pass’ vocation. In the same manner, Sharmila also cannot change the voting patterns or political equations in the state. Both of their political activities are giving entertainment to Telanganites, just like a film,” he said.

Recently, Pawan Kalyan held ‘Veera Mahila Sadassu’ wherein he sent indications of his plans to expand his party base in Telangana. He said that though he was born in Andhra, he took rebirth in Telangana and so he has a close connection with both states.

Though Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena did not contest except for Malkajgiri MP seat in 2019, the actor-turned-politican seems to have been buoyed by the panchayat poll results in Andhra Pradesh and is planning to gain ground in Telangana.
