Kiran-Jaipal Issue Got Losses For Newspapers

September 17th, 2012, 12:00 PM IST

Whenever news spreads these days, say it a rumour or truth, all the electronic media cash it on first. Newspapers will get a chance only to publish the best of them all. In that way what happened to them during the recent CM Change issue the other day?

Minor Irrigation minister TG Venkatesh says that all the newspapers of state got huge losses by wasting precious space on their FrontPages. 'All our Telugu dailies ran stories about Kiran shifting to Delhi and Jaipal as CM to Andhra in front page. They might have lost precious space and money by publishing this silly report which is not true by a single line', he said. Also, our minister added that mobile companies have made decent profits as users across the state started discussing this issue on phones for a long time. But TG felt that Jaipal Reddy as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh is a well deserved candidate, but that doesn't mean that Kiran should be replaced now.

TG Venkatesh confirmed again that people from either region are not running for CM posts and the issues here are much different. 'Kiran has enough work in Hyderabad and Jaipal in Delhi. So, no need to interchange them', he concluded.
