Fading Director drags Heroes into T-March
Director N Shankar has appealed to all the Tollywood heroes to extend their support to the statehood movement by participating in the Telangana march which will be held on Sunday (September 30). "All the film heroes should come forward and support the march. If they could respect the sentiment, Telangana people will welcome the move," he stressed.
Although few heroes were forced to say Jai Telangana in public, none of the top stars have voluntarily come forward in support of neither Telangana nor Samaikya Andhra. It would be interesting development, if some one from the big league steps forward to make their stand clear on the issue.
On the other hand, Telangana film chamber has expressed it's willingness to support the T-march and also declared halting film shootings, shut down of theaters in the Nizam region on Sunday. Already few shows were cancelled on Saturday due to Ganesh Nimajjanam and the bandh call on September 30 came as a huge blow to film industry. The closer of theaters on weekend will have a huge affect on the revenue of the films. In Hyderabad alone, this Prabhas starrer Rebel is running in 105 theaters, so the impact will be much higher for this flick.
