Censor Board Members Revolt: Dhanalakshmi in Trouble!

In a shocking development, the members of AP Censor Board filed a complaint with Information & Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni accusing Regional Censor Board Officer Dhanalakshmi of corruption and double standards.

Issues like Dhanalaksmi being a non-local (unfit to censor Telugu films as she is not fluent in the language), acting in favor of some big producers and troubling others in the name of rules and not taking the opinion of other board members into confidence.

In the past, Raviteja's film Veera which has excessive violence was given U/A instead of A certificate and Ee Rojullo which has some adult content was also given a clean 'U' certificate. Coming to Mahesh's Businessman, the regional officer felt an objectionable word was used in the film, so she ensured that the word was muted and awarded an A certificate. But the same word wasn't muted in several other films. Allu Arjun's recent film Julayi is no exception. After the board members have decided to give an U certificate with some minor cuts, the certificate was changed to U/A with no cuts by the end of the day.

Dhanalaksmi, however, condemned the allegations by saying that the complaint might be an attempt by some board members to malign her image. Let's see where this controversy ends!
