A biopic of Hyderabadi Cricketer on the cards

The life of former Indian Captain-turned-Politician Mohammad Azharuddin has it's share of controversies and relationships which would make an interesting watch for the audience.

Bollywood producer and Television queen Ekta Kapoor announced her plans to make a biopic of one of the most successful Indian skipper and also highly controversial sportsman Azhar. The film touches the glorious days of the Hyderabadi in the Indian team, match-fixing scandal, live-in relationship with actress Sangeeta Bijlani and his current political career. A-list heroes Ranbir Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Ranveer Singh are under consideration to reprise the role of Azhar on screen. Who will be playing the role of Sangeeta Bijlani, the woman knows the inner self of Azhar and also the only person who is well aware of the facts about the cricketer's match fixing, has been raising curiosity.

Sources say, Azharuddin will have no issues with the biopic as long as it doesn't show him in a bad light. Despite a life ban, Azhar has always denied his involvement in the match fixing and claimed that he was made a scapegoat. Let's see how the biopic will showcase Azhar as a person!
