Electricity Employees JAC calls 72 hour Stir
On the request of the Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, the Seemandhra Electricity Employees JAC announced to cut short their strike to 72 hour ( three day ) against indefinite stir over the bifurcation of state issue. The employees working in Power generation units owned by APGENCO and DSCOMS will boycott their services from Wednesday midnight.
After the meeting held by Chief minister at Camp office tonight, the JAC leaders said that all the employees working in DISCOMS and Power generation units will stop attending regular customer services. However, the striking employees will attend essential services - medical, water supply and agriculture and also did interrupt the power supply during the three day stir.
The JAC leaders said that CM requested to call off the strike in view of power crisis loomed large in the state in the ensuing agriculture season and increased power demand after the government lifted power holiday to industrial sector recently. During the deliberation, the JAC leaders informed the CM that the employees will go on three day strike and then after a meeting is being organized to chalk out an action plan to intensify the agitation in the state Energy department.
