Fire Brand forced to leave T-meet
Rajya Sabha MP Renuka Chowdhury faced a bitter experience when she attended the Telangana Congress meeting on Sunday. Few of her party leaders asked her to leave citing her anti-Telangana stand. Although seniors like D Srinivas and Jana Reddy tried to pacify the leaders, that didn't work much. Renuka wasn't allowed to speak in the meeting and she left the venue in a huff after facing this ill-treatment.
Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar described Renuka as an anti-Telanganite and thus he had no clue why she attended the T-meeting. "We demanded an apology from her before attending the meeting, but she neither apologized or left the meeting though we asked her to! It was shameful act and we ignored her," he explained.
It is quite evident that Renuka Chowdhury didn't associate herself with the Telangana movement all these years. She even said the so called T-deaths in the region were due to cancer and described T-activists as nothing but 'goonda elements'. In August this year, She also accompanied the Seemandhra Congress leaders when they met AK Antony Committee in New Delhi to express the demand to keep the state united.
