Jagan wants to lead seemandhra agitation
After filing a counter petition saying that Jagan should not be given bail, CBI argued in Court that Jagan will influence witnesses if he is given bail now. The other day Kadapa MP YS Jagan filed a bail petition highlighting that CBI failed to finish the investigation part.
CBI counsel argued strongly when CBI Special Court asked them why Jagan should not be given bail though he is in 15 months in jail ever since he is arrested.
CBI apparently mentioned that Supreme Court hinted them to complete the investigation in a stipulated time frame but haven't given them any deadline. Also the agency's counsel pointed out that Jagan was supposed to apply for bail only after all charge sheets are lodged. According to law, there is no stipulated time frame for the investigations that will carried out by CBI, as several external factors are inter connected with an investigation.
However, Jagan's counsel added that their client needs bail as he needs to lead the Seemandhra agitation that is taking place from last 48 days against the bifurcation decision made by Congress party. Asking CBI counsel to file a counter petition against this, Court adjourned the case till Monday, September 23rd.
