IPL 2020: CSK Loses Yet Another Game This Season

The pathetic run of Chennai Super Kings still continues in this season of IPL. They have lost the fifth game in the seven matches they played till now. Royal Challengers Bangalore completely outplayed CSK, all thanks to the brilliant knock of Virat Kohli. It was also a commendable effort from their bowlers like Chris Morris, Isuru Udana, Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sunder, who gave a 37-run victory to their team.

Virat Kohli won the toss and said that RCB will bat first. Once again, opener Aaron Finch disappointed his camp by getting out pretty early. However, Virat Kohli (98*) and Devdutt Padikkal (33) settled things for their team and gave a platform. In the 11th over of the innings, Shardul Thakur dismissed both Padikkal and AB de Villiers in a single over and had put RCB in big trouble. But Kohli came to their rescue and played a sensational knock. It was a delight to watch him scoring big shots in the backend of the innings. With the help of his beautiful game, RCB managed to score 169/4 in 20 overs.

CSK got a disappointing start while chasing this total as both the openers Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson fell inside the first six overs. But Ambati Rayudu (42) and N Jagadeesan (33) have settled the things for a while by creating a partnership of 64 runs. When Jagadeesan got out, Dhoni came in. He hit a six off Chahal’s bowling and got out in the same over.

In the very next over, Morris dismissed Sam Curran for a golden duck. That made CSK go under further trouble. They needed to score 61 off the last three overs. Rayudu tried to do his best but it was too much for him. Finally, they ended their innings by scoring 132/8. RCB will next face Kolkata Knight Riders on October 12. Chennai will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on October 13.
