The Journey Of Khushboo Sundar

Khushboo Sundar is an actor turned politician. Khushboo, previously known as Nakhat Khan was born on 29th September, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The actress has been living in Chennai for the past 34 years. She has done more than 200 movies and predominantly known in the South film industry. She has been rewarded with Three Tamil Nadu national film awards.

Khushboo has started her journey into the entertainment industry as a child artist with the Kannada movie ‘Raja Nanna Raja’. Her initial movies in the industry were not even credited. It took her a while to have a stance in the entertainment industry. Even though she was not as successful as a heroine, she went on to become the No.1 leading actress of the Tamil movie industry. Her work has been prominent in various languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.

The actress quit the entertainment industry in a quest to serve the people of Tamil Nadu. She had joined the DMK party in 2014 on 16th June. The actress held strong opinions and did not steer away from her opinions of why she had joined the party. When she noticed that she was not given enough credit for her work, she had quit the DMK party and joined Indian National Congress on November 26th, 2014.

Khushboo in her political career has become an activist that was determined to not let anyone steer her from her goals. She spoke for women rights and brought in awareness for issues such as AIDS when people were still stereotyping them. She has since stayed an active speaker for Indian National Congress.

In spite of several backlash of different stances she took, Khushboo stood her ground and faced the music with her head held high. Hence, her decision to leave the Indian National Congress Party as the spokesperson came as a wave of shock for her followers.

But, Khushboo as always is very clear on her views of why she has chosen to quit the party. She has cited the reason for leaving the party in her resignation letter that the leaders of the party have no connectivity to ground reality or public recognition and that people like her who genuinely want to serve to the public are being oppressed. She had joined the BJP on the same day as she felt that the leadership that BJP works under is commendable.

Let’s hope that our favorite, strong and resourceful leader Khushboo Sundar serves the public as she has been doing in the nearby future as well.
