Dharani: One-stop Solution To Land Properties In TS

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao would launch Dharani portal on October 29. Dharani is integrated land records management system developed by the Telangana State Technical Services (TSTS), in tune with the new Revenue Act, 2020 introduced by the state government.

Telangana government chief secretary Somesh Kumar urged the revenue officials to provide error-free, transparent and quick services to the public through the portal, as per the vision of KCR. He hoped that the portal would be a trend-setter in the country as it is expected to serve as a one-stop solution for each and every matter related to land properties putting an end to massive corruption in the department innumerable land disputes.

The CS directed officials to provide registration and mutation services with the help of the digital platform. Addressing the revenue employees at a training camp held in the city on Tuesday, he made a PowerPoint presentation and briefed them about slot booking, citizen open portal, successor modules and partition modules.

He also explained about the responsibilities of the tahsildars and data entry operators. The registration services would increase the responsibility of the revenue officials as they would have to discharge their duties along with that of the joint sub-registrar. Somesh Kumar urged the revenue officials to work like a team and ensure that the Telangana government gets a good name through the portal.

The CS said that a state-level control room and support teams at the district-level were working in coordination to ensure smooth operation of the portal. He directed the tahsildars to ensure that all equipment necessary for the implementation of Dharani were kept ready at their offices.

R&B principal secretary Sunil Sarma, Revenue and disaster management secretary Rahul bojja, collector of Medchal and Malkajgiri were present at the meeting.
