Going by the early trends, Karnataka state is heading for a hung assembly. JD(S) is surprisingly performing better than what had expected, while both Congress and BJP are having a very close fight.
Going by the situation at 8.45 AM, it indicates that one cannot form a government without the support of JD(S). HD Kumaraswamy's JD(S) is going to be the kingmaker.
At 8.45 AM, While Congress is leading in 80 seats, BJP is leading in 82 seats whereas JD(S) is leading in 26 constituencies. This is a clear indication that Karnataka is heading for hung assembly.
Surprisingly, CM Siddaramaiah is trailing in both Badami and Chamundeswari constituencies. Whereas BJP CM candidate BS Yeddyurappa is leading in Shikaripura and JD(S) Kumaraswamy is leading in Ramanagara and Channapatna. Looks like, Kumaraswamy is going to be the kingmaker.
