Andhra Pradesh CM and TDP President Chandrababu Naidu has made it clear that he will stay away from participating in election campaign in Telangana leaving Telangana TDP leaders in a big disappointment.
The party leaders are already preparing plans to rope in Naidu as star campainger in Telangana assembly elections. Naidu's sudden decision to stay away from taking part in the poll campaign forced the state party cadre to make alternative arrangements.
Naidu told his party leaders at a meeting in Hyderabad since he pre-occupied with many programs in his Andhra Pradesh in the next three months. He also announced not taking part in the campaign at state level party meeting in Hyderabad.
Leaders said the Telangana Telugu Desam leaders are scouting alternative to Naidu as star campainer. The possibility of Lokesh joining the campaign us not ruled out. However, a decision will be taken only by Naidu.
In the 2014 elections, the TDP supremo took part in the intensive campaign in Telangana. He also led the party during Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections two years ago.
