With EAMCET results out, private Intermediate colleges are wandering around TV channels to give advertisements. One such popular intermediate college is now crying at Telugu news channels for their commercial acts.
A source revealed that a college that almost got ranks in top 20 places for Engineering and Medical, planned to give a stunning advertisement in TV channels. This college is known for milking lakhs from students in the name of intense coaching and other trainings. Now, our Telugu channels shocked them by increasing their tariff for today evening. These news channels started demanding almost 500 percent of what they usually charge for 30 second slot in peak hours, a source says. Our inter college has nothing to do but crying as it cannot refrain from giving ads in this competitive world.
There is no wrong in collecting money from corporate colleges for ads. These colleges are ready to suck blood money from middle class people but not ready to spend it for publicity, an analyst says.
