Woman loot Rs 15 lakh Liquor bottles
Nearly 100 woman launched the protest demanding the closure of newly opened liquor shop in Saidappa Basti of Filmnagar in Hyderabad and also looted lakhs worth bottles.
The wine shop was opened on Sunday (first day) with Rs 20 lakhs worth stock. In the evening, woman gathered in huge numbers claiming that they came to protest opening of liquor shop in their area. At first, they raised slogans, barged into the shop, destroyed few bottles and later looted expensive bottles which cost around Rs 15 lakhs.
Shop owners were accusing that liquor mafia is behind the attack. The new liquor policy introduced by the state government haven't gone well with the liquor syndicates in the state. The cops were suspecting that there is a revenge motive behind the attack. A local politician who failed to acquire the liquor shop license due to the lucky-draw system has chosen the violent path. Similar incidents were reported in Nellore district as well. Government should take stern action on the anti social elements, or else the new wine shop owners will end up making huge losses.
