Jagan Using CM Kiran In Supreme Court
YS Jagan has recalled his previous bail application in Supreme Court to lodge a fresh petition with some added information. Now that he got all that information in the form of CM Kiran, he has filed for a fresh bail plea.
CM Kiran Kumar has earlier given statements that the faulty 26 GOs issued by 6 cabinet ministers don't come under 'Quid Pro Quo'. Now Jagan is using this point to get a bail in SC saying that if they don't come under 'quid pro quo', then there is no point in detaining and accusing him. He mentioned that CBI has booked him for those 26 GOs which allegedly made investments flow into his companies. Jagan stressed that he will not tamper evidences and will abide by the rules of court if given bail.
However, one may not consider statements given by ruling leaders in public as evidences to grant bail. We have to see how Supreme Court will react to this
On the flip side, if Jagan gets bail now, opposition parties like TDP will gherao the Congress that have they have struck deal with YSR-C.
