Kodali Nani Gets Jail And Bail
In an age old case, TDP's legislator Kodali Nani is sentenced to one year rigorous imprisonment along with a couple of thousands as fine. Nani has got shocked with the incident and claimed that the opposition Congress is haunting him for personal benefits.
Way back in 2005, a farmer from Nani's constituency Mudinepalli Moshe has committed suicide as government allegedly took his cultivated land. The then MLA Nani has gone in a procession to Gudivada RDO office along with the dead body as a protest. However, police had registered a case on the MLA and other for obstructing the duties of government officials in RDO office. In this case, the Court has now found him guilty and pronounced that judgement.
Nani is sanctioned a bail immediately and is given 30 days time to appeal in District Court. 'As I have took the side of a poor man, this government wants to suppress me with me cases', Nani reacted.
