Infosys Neelima case still a big mystery

August 7th, 2012, 12:06 PM IST

Even several days after her death, there are still many unanswered questions on whether Infosys employee Neelima was murdered or committed suicide. While her e-mails and SMSes confirm that she is in a depressed state on that day which might had led to suicide, her body fell at a distance from the Infosys building which is indicating that it may be a homicide.

Gandhi Hospital's forensic experts have asked for the pictures at the crime scene and the video footage recorded during the post-mortem to check whether anything got missed before submitting their final report.

In the cases of suicide, the body of the victim would fall at a distance from the building. Another thing to note is that victim's legs will touch the ground first and major injuries would be for lower part of the body. If it's an accident or murder, the body would touch the building before the falling and it would land closer to the building. In such cases, the upper part of the body suffers major injuries. In Neelima's case too, the body sustained more injuries in upper part indicating that it may be a suicide. What was she doing for nearly 2 hours after reaching the campus and before the incident happened on that day? Hopefully this mystery will be cleared soon!
