The last hope for Chiranjeevi
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is all set to go for a major reshuffle of his present cabinet after the monsoon session which concludes on September 6. As per the party sources, this would be the final reshuffle of UPA 2 before facing the 2014 general elections.
AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi is likely to be inducted into the Manmohan cabinet this time as the young politician is showing keen interest on government activities. Three posts fell vacant with Pranab Mukherjee taking charge as President, Vijay Bahuguna becoming the CM of Uttarakhand and the election of BJP MP Shanta was put on hold by High Court. Apart from filling these three vacancies, Manmohan might sack underperformed ministers in his cabinet and replace them with new members.
All eyes were now on Rajya Sabha member Chiranjeevi who merged his party with ruling Congress in the name of better service to the people. If Chiru wasn't given due respect by the High Command this time, disgruntled PRP cadre and kapu vote bank may look towards other parties. As Congress is not in a position to face the ire of Chiru's supporters at this crucial juncture, mostly his induction is compulsory. Seems like, Megastar is getting his due at last!
