VVS Laxman to say goodbye to Cricket
Stylish Indian batsman VVS Laxman is likely to announce his retirement from international cricket after the first-Test match against New Zealand which would begin from 23rd of this month in Hyderabad. Although he had played hundred plus Tests till now, this is only the second test match he will be playing before his home crowd.
According to the reports, the 37-year-old batsman will hold a press conference in a day or two to announce his decision to end his 16 long years international career. An End Of Era!
Laxman played 134 Tests till date and scored 8781 runs with 17 test centuries and 56 fifties. He also played 86 ODIs and scored 2338 runs with six centuries. His blistering 281 runs against Australia is still considered as one of the best innings ever played in Test Cricket. There is no about that he is a match winner, as there are several occasions he contributed to the victory of India. Hopefully Laxman gets a grand farewell in his final test!
