August 18th, 2012, 04:07 PM IST

With increasing population in the world, the requirements of man are also alarmingly increasing and here comes the need for a 'vertical farmer'. This person  will be able to grow farms just on the roof tops of our houses. Check out.

This world is getting bigger in terms of population and it is not less than 700 crores at the moment, finds a recent study. With increasing population, other problems like deforestation and pollution are leading to the death of agriculture and mostly productive soil. According to bio-scientists, they are now finding ways along with their agricultural counterparts, in order to grow farms on any land and at any place. In times to come, may be by 2050 we will be seeing farmers who grow crops at any given land and space.

Observers are saying that by the time these 'vertical farmers' grow, software jobs will be in less demand and farmers will be in high demand.
