50 Families Tortured For Dialling Wrong No
The day before India Celebrated its 65th Independence Day, still there is a sounding of that barbaric law that prevailed in this land right before British entered. 50 families are tortured and boycott from the village when a dalit by dialled a cell phone number of upper caste guy
mistakenly.
In one Sadarpur village of Punjab, a dalit boy happened to dial the mobile number of an upper caste youth from the landlord community. After having heated debate with dalits, the landlord biggies attacked youths from the downtrodden community and passed a resolution against them. The 50 dalit families of Sadarpur village are facing a social boycott now and police are yet to respond on this issue. In a country, where everyone is talking about advancement, this is one small example is enough to show how better we are advancing into a dark direction, said a social activist.
Leaders and activists from all communities are so volatile in states like Andhra Pradesh, but go mum when any such incident takes place at some other place in India. Is our country waiting for something like a revolution again.
