Mehendi-Attack Is Just A Rumor!
Hundreds of Muslim women observed rashes and swelling after applying Mehendi paste as a design on their hands last night. Within hours, hundreds of people got admitted to various hospitals early in the morning in Kurnool and Vijayawada. Rumors started spreading that Mehendi is poisoned and a kind of communal attack on Muslims is going on the holy day of Ramzan.
However, doctors ruled out any possible epidemic and the skin rashes are due to using an expired 'Mehendi'. They advised everyone to use traditional 'Gorintaaku', but not chemically made 'Mehendi'. Two persons who have actually spread the infection rumours are taken into custody a couple of hours back.
Police cleared that there is no question of milk getting poisoned in some Muslim infatuated areas as spread by another rumour. Police requested all the citizens to maintain poise on hate-SMS that are being spread by some terror elements.
