Students Attack Police With Stones At AP-Telangana Border

The Coronavirus lock-down on one side and here is another trouble with many students being stopped at Telangana – Andhra Pradesh Danchepalli-Pondugula border. Some of the students were outraged when the police stopped them at check-post for hours without entering them into Andhra Pradesh, they started pelting stones and injured few policemen.

The Telangana officials have given permission to a large number of students to travel to their native places in Andhra Pradesh, but the police at Andhra border are not allowing them to enter the state, given the lock-down orders.

When the same scene happened on Wednesday with a large number of vehicles stopped at check-post, the CMs of both the states had to discuss and let them pass through just for once.

DGP Gautam Sawang condemned the incident and said that action would be initiated against who violated the lockdown orders.

With the lockdown period still having many more days and if the students and employees wanted to cross the border for the days coming, the police at the border won’t be allowing them again. When the lockdown asks them to stay where they are, the students need to understand the seriousness of the virus spread around and the police as well need to understand their concerns at times.

When both police and public stop overreacting and just try to maintain a balancing situation, there is a chance that we would be able to overcome the deadly virus spread faster than we anticipated.
