Corona: Patient recommends pranayama for healing

The 45-year-old Rohit Dutta, who is a Delhi-based businessman and a COVID-19 survivor, said that pranayama has been very effective for him in treating the virus. Pranayama is the practice of breath control and synchronization of breath movements in yoga. Pranayama has been highly beneficial for blood pressure, heart health, and nervous system. But what Rohit Dutta is claiming is new and might be useful.

The ex-patient told, “I recommend pranayama for COVID-19 patients. It is very useful in the course of recovery. It helps in reducing anxiety levels”. Rohit Dutta was contracted with the virus as he returned from Europe on February 24, leading to coronavirus symptoms like fever. He was soon shifted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where he tested positive for the virus.

Rohit was the first patient in North India. He urged all those patients who are taking treatment now to stay positive and put full trust in doctors. “There is no need for being scared if you are tested positive for coronavirus. Stay positive and strong. As there is no medicine for COVID-19, doctors are supporting patients emotionally,” Rohit Dutta said.

The latest interaction with media made Rohit reveal that he has also become more religious after his recovery. What Rohit shared must be a spiritual solution of curing disease to some extent and it is subjective and depends on one’s belief. Meditating, Pranayama and uplifting energy with positive vibes are essential for inner healing of the body. Currently, the vaccine for the novel virus has picked up its pace and clinical trials on humans have approved in Germany and the UK.
