Camera: The iPhone 8 has a 12-megapixel camera - it's a new sensor with a new color filter and the redesigned camera itself will also take in 83 percent more light. Optical image stabilization is still there that helps in half decent in low light.
Introducing AR: The cameras on iPhone 8 Plus are custom tuned for the ultimate AR experience. Each camera is individually calibrated, with new gyroscopes and accelerometers for accurate motion tracking.
Wireless Charging: The glass back design enables a world-class wireless charging solution. Wireless charging works with the established Qi ecosystem, including two new wireless charging mats from Belkin and mophie, available from apple.com and Apple Stores.
The iPhone X
The iPhone X, is named to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the iPhone. The new iPhone X features an edge-to-edge 'super retina display' with Apple doing without the traditional home button.
No Home button: Without the home button, the iPhone X also does away with the option top unlock the phone with your fingerprint, an authentication method known as Touch ID. Instead, Apple introduced a new feature called Face ID that uses facial recognition software to authenticate users.
Animoji: The facial recognition update also ushers in an updated version of emoji, dubbed, Animoji. Users are able to animate and change the facial expression of emoji, and record and send videos with sound.
Availability & Price: The iPhone X will be available with 64GB and 256GB, and pricing starts at $999. The phones will be available to pre-order starting Oct. 27 and will ship starting on Nov. 3.
