Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are nearly done with their election campaigns with the final push being seen in a select few constituencies which are still polling. With the majority of the polling done in AP, there's a huge influx in the AP natives returning to Hyderabad. All the toll plazas leading to AP are said to be flooded with incoming cars and busses now. Hyderabad will get back to its usual bustling self from tomorrow.

While Andhra Pradesh is on the brink of registering 85pc polling percentage which is going to be a record in itself, Chandrabababu Naidu has shared an interesting tweet. "Thank You #AndhraPradesh #TDPJSPBJPWinningAP" Naidu tweeted and it is going viral on social platforms. This is being seen as a clear show of confidence by the Telugu Desam supremo who held over 90 public meetings in this year's intense election campaign. 

Renowned political psephologist Aara Mastan has projected a one-sided swing for TDP in the AP election. He said TDP is set to sweep the postal ballot votes and this will be heavily influencing the early trends in AP. He predicts a heavy boost for the alliance in the early stages. A record 4.3 lakh postal ballots were polled this year, which is nearly enough to decide the outcome in close-fight segments.

Andhra Pradesh's polling period is officially over at the stroke of 6 PM. No more entries will be allowed at the queues henceforth but those who are already in the queue will be permitted to vote however long it might take. As of 5 PM, the polling turnout was at 68% which is a healthy number. Now the anticipation is on whether the final poll turnout will touch the 85% mark which is higher than the 2019 mark of 79.74%.

On the polling day, one incident in Temali caught the attention of the entire nation. Tenali MLA Annabathuni Sivakumar slapped a voter at a polling booth where the voter slapped the MLA back. It is reported that the MLA skipped the queue and the voter questioned him. Now, the ECI ordered a detailed probe into the incident and also ordered to place Sivakumar under house arrest until the polling comes to an end.

Chandra Babu Naidu is highly confident that their alliance will come back to power. He tweeted that it's a historic day for AP. "It’s a Historic day for Andhra Pradesh today! The enthusiasm and determination of our people is inspirational. People continue to turn up in long queues to exercise their Right to Vote. I request @ECISVEEP to arrange for power backup and sufficient light facility at all booths," tweeted CBN on social media.

The elections in both the Telugu states is about to come to an end. The voter turn around is not so satisfactory in many locations. But at the same time, in many constituencies of AP, there are violent incidents reported. The Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have hit the final leg of polling as we are seeing a last minute surge in the poll turnout. But the time is up for the polling process in 16 constituencies of AP and Telangana. In AP, the polls are completed in the agency areas of Araku, Paderu, and Rampachodavaram. In Telangana, the polls are wrapped in 13 Maoist-dominated constituencies.

In a shocking incident, the car that reportedly belongs to Macherla TDP MLA candidate Julakanti Bramhananda Reddy was set on fire by miscreants. Live visuals of a car burning on the road is trending on social media. Macherla is turning out to be one of the most problematic constituencies in AP with fiery clashes between Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy and Julakanthi's factions.

BJP candidate Madhavi Latha, who is contesting the Hyderabad parliament constituency, came under the radar after the police officials registered an FIR against her. In one of the polling booths, she is caught on cam, asking the Muslim women to uncover their faces as they are seen wearing burkhas. Andhra Pradesh Congress president, YS Sharmila led a relentless campaign against her brother YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and she finally fulfilled her polling duty today as she cast her vote in Idupulapaya. From campaigning for YCP's Fan symbol in 2019 to leading Congress's "Hand" symbol, a lot has changed for Sharmila. "FOR CHANGE" she tweeted after casting her vote.

Narsaraopeta MP Lavu Krishna Devarayulu switched loyalties from YCP to TDP before the election. As a part of the electioneering process today, he visited a polling booth and he was allegedly attacked by miscreants then. Three of the cars in the MP's convoy were allegedly attacked and the windows got shattered.

Former IT minister of Telangana, KTR cast his vote along with his family a few minutes ago, post which, he briefly spoke with the media. When asked about AP polling trends, KTR said "Jagan is like a brother to me. I hope he does well". It is evident that KTR and the BRS top brass has their loyalties with Jagan Mohan Reddy in AP.

Telangana is voting today for Parliament and the war is between BRS, Congress and BJP parties. There are a lot of first time voters this time and KCR's grandson Himanshu is one among them. Along with his parents, Himanshu exercised his vote today at Banjara Hills. The trio showcased their inked fingers to the media, after casting their vote. KTR hopes that BRS will win in 12+ seats in Telangana.

Anantapur district is one of the high-tension zones in AP and the same is observed in 2024 polls. The polling was delayed by 1 hour in the district due to EVMs failure. Balakrishna's Hindupur is on high alert due to the clash between YCP and TDP leaders. Two vehicles were destroyed and two people were injured in this clash. Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy reached Kodangal to exercise his right to vote. The chief minister, along with his family members, cast their votes at a polling station in Kodangal in the Mahabubnagar constituency. Revanth Reddy aggressively campaigned for the Congress party, expressing confidence that the party will sweep the Parliament elections. The election results will be out on June 4th.

Tenali MLA Siva Kumar triggered a controversy at polling booth when he got into a fight with a common man. Siva Kumar was seen ignoring the line at booth and a common man stopped him. The same old problem is being seen in Hyderabad as the turnout for the ongoing MP polls are relatively low. As of 10:30 AM, Hyderabad has seen 5.06 percent. To put that into perspective, Khammam-12.24 pc, Mahbubabad-11.94 pc, Mahbubnagar-10.33 pc, Medak-10.99 PC, Nalgonda-12.80 percent. Secunderabad-5.40 pc, Warangal-8.97 pc, Zaheerabad-12.88 pc.

The early trends are emerging in AP as the voter turnout is slowly building up. As of 9:30 AM, Gajuwaka constituency has seen the highest turnout with 17.23pc, while Udaygiri has the lowest turnout of 1.6pc. YSR Kadapa district leads with the highest voting turnout, while Guntur district has the lowest voter turnout in the Andhra Pradesh elections. Kadapa is going big in terms of poll turnout.

Usually, we see opposition complaining about polling process and arrangements. But this time, Vijayasai Reddy, has said polling is not going well. He said voters are casting their votes in different booths which is against usual practice. He blamed EC for poor handling.
