AP Cabinet Meeting

The Andhra Pradesh government cabinet meeting is scheduled this Thursday i.e, on June 11th. However ahead of this meeting, there are some fears from AP Secretariat sources. The reason being nearly 10 people working in the secretariat have tested positive of the virus.

One GAD employee and One RTGS staff working in the first block of CM’s chamber of the secretariat were infected with the Corona virus. In this view the Secretariat sources have doubts over the cabinet meeting.

Already AP Special Chief Secretary Poonam Malakondaiah has permitted the staff of agriculture and industries departments to work from home while the rest of the departments to have approached the Chief Secretary Nilam Sawhney to allot work from home for a week or so. The Chief Secretary is yet to take the decision.

If the cabinet meeting is not possible in the Secretariat, the officials are considering CM’s camp office in Tadepalli. But it is yet to be known whether the camp office can accommodate the cabinet meeting or not. If the officials decide on CM’s camp office, they might sanitize the venue before the cabinet meeting. A decision regarding the same will be taken tomorrow or day after.
