Buzz: Nagarjuna Opting For This ‘Massy’ Remake

Akkineni Nagarjuna is quite worried these days about his films as some big-budgeted action entertainers have turned out to back to back flops for him. After tasting another flop with ’The Ghost’, he’s really worried about his next but then okayed three films in a row.

Already we do know that Nag is doing a movie under writer Prasanna’s direction, while he has another one with Dhruva and God Father fame Mohan Raja. Apart from these two films, Nagarjuna is also looking forward to a remake film which is in the hands of producer Abhishek Agarwal right now.

The production other day announced that they owned the remake right of the Malayalm film “Porinju Mariyam Jose”, which is the story of three leads, Porinju, Mariyam and Jose. While this is a massy film with predictable content, it worked well in Malayalam. They say that Nagarjuna wants to do this remake and discussions are going on.

The sad part is that earlier Nagarjuna contemplated doing Vikram Vedha Telugu remake as well with him taking up Vijay Sethupathi’s role, and the lack of another hero to do opposite Nag as police have spoiled the plans. We have to see if casting will work out for Nag for this Malayalam remake, as the three roles will have equal footing. First, let’s see if he is doing it or not.
