#IPlAuction: Vihari Unsold; Here’s His Reaction

The auction of players for this year’s edition of IPL concluded last night. Like always overseas players were sold out for huge numbers. The likes Chris Morris, Kyle Jamieson, Jhye Richardson, Glenn Maxwell were sold for more than Rs 10 crore.

Disappointingly all the franchises showed least interest on Indian players. Even Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun got sold for a base price of Rs 20 Lakh to Mumbai Indians. However, shockingly one player who played a heroic innings was left unsold.

He is our Telugu cricketer Hanuma Vihari. If anyone remembers the Sydney Test, none will forget the contribution of Vihari despite his tier 2 hamstring injury. Yet Vihari was not rewarded as no franchise showed interest in buying him at least for base price.

Post his auction went unsold, Vihari took to Twitter and reacted. “Lol,” was the reaction of Vihari with a laughter emoji and it shows he is not really worried about it.

But in a surprise Test specialist Cheteshwara Pujara got sold to Chennai Super King. This shows the double standards of all franchises not respecting the real talent.
