8 Killed In Atlanta Shooting: Shooter’s Passion For Guns & God

Eight people were shot dead at three different metro Atlanta spas in Georgia. Six of them were Asian women. The police have not revealed a motive in the shootings, but the ethnicity is raising more questions. The 21-year-old suspect shooter is in police custody.

The suspect Robert Aaron Long of Woodstock Georgia is said to be having a passion for guns and God. His Instagram account tagline that supposedly belongs to the suspect said, ‘Pizza, guns, drums, music, family, and God. This pretty much sums up my life. It’s a pretty good life.’ The account is no longer active. The suspect was arrested 150 miles south of Atlanta and charged with murder.

A former classmate of Long said he is nerdy type, innocent, and did not seem violent.

The victims’ names have not been released, but they include six Asian women, a white woman, and a white man, according to officials. The surveillance images indicate that Long is the suspect in all three shootings.

Social media is on rage since morning with the trend to stop hate-crimes against the Asian community which had been growing ever since the pandemic began. Police emphasized it too early to conclude the motive in the crime as targeted violence against the Asian American community.
