The film on former Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh 'The Accidental Prime Minister' had its trailer unveiled. Noted character artist Anupam Kher essayed the role of Manmohan while the film is based on former media advisor and chief spokesperson of PM, Sanjaya Baru.
The trailer revisits how Manmohan Singh was picked up for the PM post by Sonia Gandhi back in 2004 and then the much talked nuclear deal with the United States of America. The trailer also shows Manmohan also offered to resign but Sonia Gandhi appears to be not convinced that her son Rahul can't takeover during then political scenario.
Anupam Kher as Manmohan Singh impresses with his body language and the way he delivers the dialogues. The real Manmohan is a soft-spoken person and Anupam tries his best to imitate him. The trailer has a lot of political happenings within Congress party which was in power from 2004 to 2014. It also shows Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi's roles which might turn controversial post the release of the film.
Directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, actor Akshay Khanna played the role of Sanjaya Baru. The film is releasing on January 11th.
