US BO: NTR & VVR See a Dip, F2 Opens Well

Two Telugu releases for this Sankranthi have got their verdict so far. NTR Kathanayakudu opened big and slowed down a bit on Thursday collecting a total of $622563 gross by Thursday. NTR opened with $482599 on Tuesday and took a big tip on Thursday with just $40152.

NTR Kathanayakudu managed to collect $26667 at 86 locations on Friday morning, 12:40 EST.

Charan's VVR release has had an impact on NTR Kathanayakudu, but the openings with premieres of VVR managed to gross $171551 on Thursday. With extremely negative reviews and bad talk all over, Charan's VVR could pull $19273 at 69 locations by 9:40 AM PST on Friday.

Venkatesh and Varun Tej's F2 got positive expectations for its entertaining trailer. The movie is seeing good openings on Friday premieres, collecting $74446 at 69 locations by Friday morning. If the film garners positive talk, it may see big numbers on weekends and next week too.

Bollywood release URI collected $29962 at 62 locations. Rajinikanth's Petta attracted mixed reviews but the collections in overseas seem to be fair, with $171267 at 194 locations on Friday morning. Petta totally collected a gross of $745141 excluding the Friday numbers. Petta pulled a big $562166 on Wednesday and $182975 on Thursday.

Ajith's Viswasam collected a total of $83568 by Thursday end.
