'Jersey', which has Natural Star Nani playing the role of a middle aged cricketer, has gained a good buzz. The teaser of the film, which's being directed by Malli Raava fame Gautam Tinnanuri, received great response from cinephiles. Also, it is going to end criticism on Nani that he is only doing routine movies. 'Jersey' is an emotional sports drama.
Even though Nani's delivered two back to back flops like Krishnarjuna Yudham and Devadas, his new movie Jersey was able to fetch good amount for the producer. According to trade analysts, the theatrical business of Jersey is estimated to be Rs 31 Crore, which is a huge number considering it is a sports drama. It proves the potential of a Nani film, even after he faced two consecutive flops.
The non-theatrical rights of Jersey is expected to fetch an additional Rs 15 Crores. It is already known to many of us that Nani is not taking any remuneration. Rather, he will get the overseas rights of the film which is made in less than Rs 25 Crores budget. So, going by the business Jersey is doing, both Nani and producer Suryadevara Naga Vamshi are likely to reap in some good moolah.
