MIM Leader Hacked To Death On Busy Road In Hyd

In a suspected case of revenge killing, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul (AIMIM) leader Asad Khan was hacked to death on a busy road in broad daylight in Hyderabad on Thursday.

Unidentified assailants killed 40-year-old Khan, a local MIM leader, at Vattapally area under Mallardevpally police station in Old City, Hyderabad, considered the bastion of the AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi.

Sources said that a group of assailants attacked him with sharp-edged weapons near a public hall on Shastripuram Road when he was riding his two-wheeler. Police said that Asad Khan had a criminal past and hence, suspect the case to be revenge killing. After stabbing him to death, the assailants fled the spot.

Khan was rushed to Osmania Hospital and he was declared brought dead. Earlier, Khan was arrested in a murder case and he is also facing several other criminal cases.

Police are trying to collect evidence from the CCTV footage in the area to identify the assailants and arrest them.
