Just when fans and trade circles were eagerly waiting for Saaho's release, came in a huge shocker in the form of an unexpected postponement. The film, which was supposed to release on August 15th as an Independence Day treat, has been tentatively postponed to August 30th.
However, the latest buzz in the bollywood media reveals yet another shocker on Saaho's release date. Apparently, Saaho's Bollywood distributors at T-Series are now eyeing the Diwali festive weekend to release the film. This move is only to facilitate a smooth release and ensure enough time is given for the film's VFX work, which is underway 24/7 these days.
It's been said that Prabhas and director Sujeeth are not fully satisfied with the VFX quality that has been delivered so far. So, they decided to not go for a hurried release, but wait until they achieve world-class output.
Also, T-Series, which is releasing Saaho's Hindi version, is ensuring its other production, John Abraham's Batla House, gets maximum screens during the Independence Day weekend and at least until Ganesh Chaturthi in September first week. With no major holidays in September and the Dasara season occupied already, Diwali season seems to be the only option left for T-Series to release Saaho.
