Covid-19 Worries: Kangana’s ‘Thalaivi’ postponed

With a surge in Covid-19 cases all over the country, the entertainment industry is facing the heat. Films across all languages are getting postponed and especially from Bollywood. One of the biggest tickets of this summer is actress Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Thalaivi.’

In an official statement, the producers of the film have confirmed that ‘Thalaivi’ is not releasing on April 23rd which was the earlier announced date.

“Since the film has been made in multiple languages, we would like to release it in all the languages on the same day. But with alarming rise in Covid-19 cases, subsequent precautions and lockdowns, even though our film is ready for release on 23rd April, we want to extend all the support towards the government rules and regulations and have decided to postpone the release of Thalaivi,” read the statement.

However, the producers did not reveal the new release date yet. Probably once the cases report in fewer numbers, the makers will take a call and announce it officially.

‘Thalaivi’ is based on the life of Jayalalithaa and is directed by AL Vijay.
