Jagan Stalled Vakeel Saab Shows As A Revenge: Chandrababu

Former chief minister and TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu alleged that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy stalled the special show screening of Pawan Kalyan-starrer Vakeel Saab in Andhra Pradesh just because the actor-turned-politician criticised him.

Jagan did not allow special shows of the movie and also prevented managements of theatres from increasing the ticket price on the release day only to make the actor incur loss, Naidu said, adding that Jagan was being vindictive against Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan as the latter has been criticising the policies of the YCP government, to which the public raised their voice in the positive.

The mention of Pawan Kalyan and Vakeel Saab roused the spirit of the public who shouted in support of Naidu.

The TDP president was addressing a roadshow in Nellore as part of campaigning for the TDP candidate Panabaka Lakshmi, contesting for the Tirupati Lok Sabha bypoll.

Naidu said: “Similarly, Jagan brought a dairy firm from Gujarat and asked them to operate from the Telugu states to put my dairy business to loss, which I have been running for more than 30 years,” he pointed out.

“Is this not revenge and unlawful,’ he asked and questioned them if the people were really thinking about all these issues.

It is the right of every individual in the country to do any business within the legal limits. The Constitution written by Dr B.R. Ambedkar has been replaced with that of Raja Reddy, Jagan’s grandfather, Naidu said.

The only aim of Jagan’s government is to crush the opposition parties by intimidating the leaders and weakening them financially, the former chief minister said.

Further, he alleged that Jagan was planning to make all the people poor through his faulty policies and make them depend on him for every need.

Political analysts feel once people depend on any leader, it will become a compulsion for the voter to exercise their franchise in favour of the given politician.
