IPL: RR player Parag’s ‘Right-Arm-Perpendicular’ Bowling

Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Riyan Parag is one of the players who garnered everyone’s attention in the match yesterday. Against Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals almost pulled out a stunner but in the end, the luck favored Punjab Kings. Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson did his best to take the team to victory but his century also could not help him. However, RR player Parag has garnered attention with his unique bowling action.

Parag has dismissed the ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle of Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League this time. Gayle almost looked like going big but Parag did the right thing in controlling him further. However, Parag’s peculiar ‘perpendicular’ bowling action is now creating a buzz on social media. Parag has bowled with his arm perpendicular to his body and two other cricketers repeated this in the past. They were Ravichandran Ashwin and Kedar Jadhav.

Even the official handle of Indian Premier League shared his bowling action and wrote, “That is right-arm perpendicular. What name can you think of for this unique action?”

The umpire immediately warned Parag not to bowl an under-cutter, after which Parag went back to his usual bowling action.

The netizens, however, had fun watching him bowl.
