No Maharshi Like Mistake In Case Of Ala & Sarileru

In a surprising move, popular entertainment channel Gemini TV has acquired the satellite rights of both the Sankranthi releases Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Sarileru Neekevvaru. And the only thing the channel is keeping on their mind is that they don't want to do a "Maharshi" like mistake again.

Though Gemini will have the right to screen a film on their channel 50 days after the release, they took almost six months to air Maharshi. While the film released in May, they aired it in October 2019. Usually, big heroes' films get TRPs between 15-20, but the so called blockbuster got only 9.2 TRP. As the film got released on Amazon Prime Video already, looks like audiences have lost interest in it.

Taking a cue from this happening, now Gemini TV wants to make sure that they will telecast both Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo by March 2020 itself. That too with Sarileru Neekevvaru digital rights snatched by Prime Video, they have to push the TV screening date of this film to as early as possible.

Coming to Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, both satellite and digital rights are with Gemini only, so the TV screening and SunNXT release might get timed to the same day.
