Nithyananda Bans Travellers From India To ‘Kailasa’

As the second wave of coronavirus is frightening the citizens, the situation has brought global travelling to a standstill. Moreover, many Indians are jetting off to the Maldives in ever greater numbers to escape the coronavirus pandemic. But if you have plans to escape the crisis by travelling to ‘Kailasa’ – the ‘nation’ that self-styled godman Nithyananda claims to have founded in 2019, there is a bitter piece of news for you.

Nithyananda stated in his ‘Presidential Mandate’ that devotees from India, Brazil, Malaysia, and the European Union are temporarily banned from entering into his holy island in view of the rising COVID-19 cases across the world.

The tweet accompanying the statement read, “KAILASA’s #PresidentialMandate Executive order directly from the #SPH for all the embassies of #KAILASA across the globe. #COVID19 #COVIDSecondWaveInIndia #CoronaSecondWave #Nithyananda #Kailaasa #ExecutiveOrder.”

Nithyananda, a self-styled godman and whose brain is wired to think big has absconded even since 2019. He has been hiding on the island located off the coast of Ecuador, after being accused of sexual assault. Nithyananda also appealed to the United Nations to declare the Kailasa a separate country.

One of his latest tweets read, “All Kailasians, Ekailasians, volunteers associated with these de facto embassies of Kailasa are to quarantine themselves and adhere to the precautionary measures advised by the local laws.” Soon after, Twitterati shared funny memes and trolls on his leadership being better than many leaders out there.

It is still unrealistically surprising to witness how he has procured an island for himself. We also shudder to think what all plans he might launch and what would he acquire over the next few decades. Until then, let’s scratch our heads each time he comes up with these strict rules.
