#GoHomeIndianMedia trending in Nepal

In a shocking irony, social media users in the earthquake struck Nepal have started trending the hashtag #GoHomeIndianMedia since yesterday. The shameful reason behind this unexpected outburst is that the Indian media which has been covering the terrible disaster since the beginning has been allegedly resorting to Indian propaganda.

Accusing the Indian media of using their grief as a publicity platform for the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Nepali youth took to Twitter and Facebook and vented out their frustration, demanding the Indian journalists to quit their country. Some of the tweets are so blunt that they show the kind of levels the Nepalis are vexed with the Indian media people.

One angry twitter bird tweeted, "Dear India! Send Rakhi Sawant and KRK together. We will tolerate them but not your media pls. #GoHomeIndianMedia." India was one of the nations that responded towards the relief activities in the trouble hit Nepal. However, the locals seem to be in no mood to oblige propaganda in the name of relief operations.

In a shocking incident of showcasing of insensitive journalistic values, an Indian journalist asked a Nepali mother who lost her son in the tragedy, "How do you feel?" Many such instances have been attaining severe flak from the already troubled victims. Let us hope that better sense prevails among Indian journalists and that they do not hurt India’s reputation any further.
